Bundaberg to get a bit of the Gladstone business' buzz

HEALTHY, vegan, protein packed food is making a beeline from Gladstone to Bundaberg.

Buzz Superfood Bar owner Chris Beasley has secured a shop on Bourbong St and hopes to open within the next four weeks.

His brand of healthy food has been a hit in Gladstone since it opened 14 months ago he says, and "the next logic step is to go into Bundaberg".

"We've done a little research and there's nothing like this in Bundaberg," he said. "I thought we would bring out the concept down there and we have secured a great spot in the main street."

Unlike the Gladstone shop that he shares with the Healthy Nut on Toolooa St, Buzz Superfood Bar will have its own store in Bundaberg.

"People can expect acai bowls, wholefood smoothies, raw treats, vegan lunch options, protein pancakes and nice cream," he said.

"It's going to be run by a really passionate local girl I know. I'll be down every couple of weeks to make sure things are ticking along.

He said he had four weeks free rent and was trying to get Buzz Superfoods up before the four weeks were up.
