Bund wall progress
AUTHORITIES managing the dredging project in Gladstone Harbour say there is 330m of the bund wall remaining to be sealed at Fisherman's Landing.
The bund wall is 900m long in total.
It was built to contain about 20 million cubic metres of material dredged from the harbour.
The porous wall has leaked faster than expected.
Yesterday, Gladstone Ports Corporation said sealing the front bund was on schedule.
An approval on June 25 allowed for bund sealing works to be done until August 6 to fast-track the process.
Dredge spoil is being placed against the east wall to seal it.
