Brothers captain leads team to a grand victory
MATT Shallcross saved his best innings of the year for the grand final over the weekend, scoring 58 not out to lead Brothers to grand final victory.
Heading into the second day of the clash at 2/94, it seemed Brothers were destined for an easy enough victory.
The Glen made the task anything but, taking six wickets on the second day's play for just 39 runs.

With batsmen coming and going, and the score all but stagnant, Shallcross stayed at the crease as the only constant for the Brothers side.
Eventually Brothers limped over the line to victory, one captain Shallcross said the team would likely have lost last year.
"We have got blokes who can bat down there, the pressure is the only thing," he said.
"We were lucky we cleaned them up as quick as we did.
"It is the sort of match we would have fallen short last year."
Brothers kept the key batsmen from The Glen quiet, the only team to keep them below 200 since Christmas.
It went a long way to winning the grand final.
As did getting runs on the board on Saturday for Brothers, The Glen clinical towards the end of the match.
"They bowled really well today, much better than Saturday," Shallcross said.
"We just had to bat positive. We have had to grind out wins lately ... we did that today."
