Broncos in the clear over Glenn concussion

BRISBANE has been cleared of any wrongdoing over its handling of Alex Glenn's concussion during the season-opening win over Cronulla.

Glenn suffered a head clash with Sharks forward Sam Tagataese just before half-time, and initially played the ball after being seen to by a Broncos trainer.

A short time later he was taken from the field for further assessment and ruled out for the match.

"Glenn was removed from the field about 35 seconds after his original assessment from the club trainer," the NRL said in a statement.

"In that time he did not make any hit-ups or tackles. In fact, he did not come into contact with any opponent."

The back-rower will have to undergo an internal medical review before being cleared to play North Queensland in Brisbane next Friday night.
