Model Brittany keen to play in Gladstone

BRITTANY Kenny is new to Gladstone and is looking to play.

Miss Kenny has a strong sporting background and is keen to join some local sporting teams.

"I went to a selective sporting high school in Sydney," she said. "I was selected for state netball, state touch and state rugby union.

"I would really like to join a local rugby union team but there isn't one in Gladstone."

Miss Kenny moved up from Sydney two months ago to be with her boyfriend.

"He came up here to play rugby league for the Capras," she said.

"I know they have girls' rugby league up here but it's the last thing I would do. I love rugby union."

The 19-year-old has found work at Powerhouse Fitness in Tannum Sands and enjoys being a personal trainer.

Miss Kenny has also been given the job of organising the Miss V8 Supercars in Gladstone.

"I make sure they get there, know what to wear and what to do on stage," she said.

"I'm pretty excited for the final this weekend too."

The model has been published in a couple of international magazines and competed in competitions similar to Miss V8 Supercars.

"I love the feeling when I am on stage, walking to the music and being able to wear the outfits," she said.

"I was actually a Miss World Finalist in New South Wales."
