KOBY Brine has ridden BMX for five years and has gone through a number of bikes in that time. He rates the latest as the best.

Given to him as a surprise on his birthday in October last year, the Redline Flight Junior has picked up Koby's performance.

"I was so excited to get it," he said. "I think I have got faster since I got it."

The speed increase is despite having to learn new tracks since moving from the Northern Territory.

Koby and his family have been in Gladstone since moving here for work in January and the rider is already making a stir.

"I got pushed off the track in Maryborough and was third in central Queensland titles at Bundaberg," he said.

"The track here is good, equally as good as the track I was at before."

The next competition for Koby and his Redline is in Rockhampton and normal racing nights in Gladstone.
