PHOTOS, VIDEO | Motorbike collides with car in Gladstone

UPDATE 6.10PM:

IT'S understood the motorcyclist who collided with a car in West Gladstone this afternoon is now stable. 

A QAS spokesperson said when ambulance first received the 000 alert, the motorcyclist was "lying on the road, but there was movement".

The motorcyclist was treated at the scene for major abrasions. 

A witness at the scene said it appeared the motorcyclist wasn't wearing suitable protective gear.

UPDATE 5.40PM: 

THE motorcyclist hit when he collided with a car in West Gladstone has been transported to Gladstone hospital.

But a QAS spokesperson said when emergency services received the initial 000 call, the motorcyclist was lying on the road.

His condition at this stage remains unknown. 

UPDATE 5.20PM: 

A CAR turning right on the corner of Larson and Patterson St, West Gladstone has hit a motorcyclist front on.

The motorbike rider is now being treated for major abrasions in an ambulance at the scene. 

A witness said it appeared the motorcyclist wasn't wearing suitable protective gear.

The condition of the motorcyclist is unknown, but a QAS spokesperson said emergency services have not left the scene to take anyone to hospital.

The road has been closed off, with car fluid spilling across the road.

EARLIER

A MOTORBIKE and a vehicle have collided on Patterson St, West Gladstone.

At approximately 4.30 pm this afternoon emergency services received a triple 000 call regarding the accident.

Police, ambulance and fire emergency services are attending the scene.
