BREAKING: Mobile phone towers on the way for Boyne Valley
TEN new mobile towers have been announced for the Flynn electorate including one at Ubobo in the Boyne Valley.
The towers are part of the federal government's Mobile Black Spots Programme.

- Bucca, Bundaberg Region
- Bogantungan-Willows, Central Highlands
- Dingo, Central Highlands
- Coalstoun Lakes, North Burnett
- Mulgildie, North Burnett
- Durong, South Burnett
- Capricorn Highway
The federal government has committed to rolling out 499 upgraded or new mobile base stations over the next three years covering 68,000 square kms of regional Australia.
MOBILE phone towers, and therefore better phone reception, is on the way for Boyne Valley residents.
Federal Member for Flynn Ken O'Dowd was expected to make the announcement this morning sometime.
Tenders for 30 new towers across regional Australia were finalised on June 30.
Although locations weren't specified, in May providers were expected to start laying base stations in "key areas" during the second half of 2015.
