Local man killed in fatal crash near Maclean
UPDATE, 2.20PM: The victim of this morning's crash is believed to be a local man in his forties.
Police are still in the process of notifying next-of-kin, and are yet to formally release a name.

UPDATE,11.55AM: The Pacific Highway has reopened in both directions in Maclean following a fatal truck and motorcycle accident at the Ferry Park intersection.
Stop/slow conditions in place have been lifted and traffic has returned to normal in the area.

UPDATE, 10.22AM: Detectives have arrived at the scene of this morning's fatal crash near Maclean, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
Diversions and road closures are expected to be in place for at least another two-three hours.
Northbound motorists are advised to use the Summerland Way to Casino, and then travel east on the Bruxner Hwy to return to the Pacific Hwy.
Southbound motorists are advised to use Bruxner Hwy and then Summerland Way.

UPDATE, 8.40AM: Police media have confirmed a person has died at the scene of a two-vehicle crash on the Pacific Highway near Maclean.
No gender or age has been released.
The male truck driver was not injured, but was taken to Maclean Hospital for mandatory drug and alochol testing.

UPDATE, 7.15AM: Highway traffic controllers are currently allowing motorists through following a serious accident adjacent to Ferry Park near Maclean.
However, motorists can continue to expect heavy traffic conditions and significant delays.
We understand it is a serious accident and have reporters on the scene.

EARLIER: The Pacific Highway is closed in both directions due to an accident involving a truck and a motorcycle near Maclean.
The accident was reported on Live Traffic NSW at 6.28am, advising both northbound and south motorists to avoid the area and use an alternative route using the Summerland Way and Bruxner Highway.
Emergency services and the Roads and Maritime Services are attending.
