BREAKING: Cow 'dead', woman left in shock

A WOMAN has hit a cow on the Gladstone-Monto road, just passed Calliope, Gladstone Police have said.

Based on initial reports, Gladstone Police believe the cow is dead.

Gladstone Police's Senior Sergeant Peter Stone said they believe the woman isn't injured but there is significant damage to her car.

Police are still en route to the incident. 

It's understood the woman is suffering from shock.
