BREAKING | Mum crashes on Bramston St with a baby in the car

A MUM, grandmother, and a little baby have been taken to hospital after a car crash outside the Chemist Warehouse on Bramston St.

It's understood they only have minor injuries.

But the driver, the mum, said the accident happened when her mobile phone rang and she instructed her mother how to answer it.

She said she "looked at her [mother] for a second" and then she crashed.

Police issued the driver with a ticket.

The driver said it's a good warning for other drivers -- that you don't need your mobile phone in your hand to be issued with a fine.

Police have closed Bramston St down to Glenlyon St is closed and are on scene directing traffic.

Fire fighters are cleaning up the mess.
