UPDATE: Man killed in Bruce Hwy crash south of Miriam Vale
UPDATE 6.30PM: A 20-YEAR-OLD man has died in a two vehicle crash south of Miriam Vale.
Preliminary information indicates two vehicles, a sedan and a small truck towing a caravan collided head-on on the Bruce Highway about 38kms south of Miriam Vale at 11.10am.
The driver and sole occupant of the sedan was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The occupants of the small truck, a man and a woman aged 60 from Glenella sustained minor injuries and were transported to hospital.
The Bruce Highway has been closed for a number of hours with diversions in place and it is anticipated it will be open again early this evening.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit and continuing.

UPDATE 2.15PM: TRAFFIC is queued for more than 5km on the Bruce Highway following an earlier crash.
The highway has been closed in both directions since 11.30am and is expected to be closed for another five to six hours at this stage.
It is believed a truck and a car towing a caravan collided.

UPDATE 11.48AM: Fire crews are isolating a gas leak at the scene. Police are advising motorists to avoid the area.
EARLIER: EMERGENCY services are on their way to a serious traffic accident on the Bruce Highway south of Miriam Vale.
It has been reported that a collision between a truck and a car towing a caravan has occured near the Granite Creek rest area and it is believed that one, or both, of the vehicles have rolled.
Both lanes of the highway have been blocked.
