Bravehearts reason for travels
CLAUDE Harvey is Australia’s very own mower man.
Mr Harvey has been travelling around the country for the past 12 years with his mower, Kirsty.
He has been applauded for his work with the charity Bravehearts and his volunteer work is very rarely matched.
After discovering the sexual abuse of two toddlers he promised them and himself he would work towards giving them a better life.
Bravehearts Incorporated is Australia’s leading child protection advocacy group and it is a more than worthy cause to get on board with.
Mr Harvey’s visit comes at a critical time for Bravehearts, as he is trying to raise money and awareness for White Balloon Day, a day of recognition, awareness and support for those that have been affected by child abuse.
Over the next couple of days Mr Harvey will be visiting the regions of Gin Gin, Miriam Vale and Gladstone.
Mr Harvey said the support from the Gladstone community had been great and he thanked everyone for their generous donations.
“I would like to thank the community and especially Chris Trevor for his really generous donation,” he said.
If you would like to catch up with Mr Harvey, he will be in Calliope on August 2 and then will be travelling though to Biloela.
You can keep an eye out for him around town or give him a call on 0412296165.
