Brady Walmsley crosses sporting codes for new appointment

AFL: The Gladstone Suns have crossed sporting lines for their new appointment.

Current Port City Power men's head coach Brady Walmsley has been named as a coaching consultant for the AFL team.

He will draw his experience from his time at Power, and as a five time junior head coach for the Queensland state team, to "elevate the standards of the Suns' current coaches and players.”

"I'd like to thank the Gladstone Suns for engaging me in this exciting coaching consultancy role,” Walmsley said.

"I have been blessed with some outstanding coaching experiences in my career, and whilst most of those experiences have been in a different sport, many of the lessons and leaderships skills acquired along the way can be applied to this footy club.

"My primary focus is to work with the club to establish a strategic performance vision, which guides the development of Gladstone Suns teams at all levels.”

Walmsley will begin his new appointment next season.
