Champion turns attention to Zone

THE Port Curtis Women's Bowling Association Champion of Champions tournament was held at Gladstone Bowls Club last week.

In the division fours, Boyne Tannum; K. Thomas; C. Elley; F. Watson; B. Quinn 22 defeated Burnett B. Cullen; A. Ambrey; K. Goldsworthy; and L. Long 15.

Division Pairs Burnett K. Goldsworthy; L. Long defeated Alumina S. Heaney; H. Davidson.

Division singles L. Long defeated A. Ogle from Biloela.

Well done to both local teams for their efforts.

Boyne Tannum now proceed to the Zone Final which takes place in Rockhampton.

Glenda Witt Chairman of the Bundaberg/Port Curtis District Ladies Bowling Association said the winners of the Zone Final will play off in Brisbane in late October and then onto the Australian Final.

The futuristic plans are currently on the table hoping these games will lead to an International playoff.
