Boy flees from 38yo man after child abduction attempt

POLICE have charged a man following the attempted kidnapping of a teenage boy in Murgon yesterday afternoon.

A 16-year-old was walking along Coronation Dr when he was approached by a man known to him in a vehicle.

Police will allege the man left the vehicle, spoke to the boy and attempted to grab his hand and restrain him.

The boy was able to flee and notify police.

A 38-year-old Goomeri man has been charged with attempted kidnapping and is due to appear in the Murgon Magistrate's Court today.
