Allen returned to role as head of development body

THE Urban Development Institute of Australia, Queensland has reappointed Andrew Allen as president of the Gladstone branch.

UDIA state president Brett Gillan said he was delighted to announce Mr Allen's reappointment, which would enable Mr ALlen to continue to work effectively with Gladstone Regional Council and industry representatives to address  issues specific to the region.

"Mr Allen is well informed on current and potential development matters in Gladstone and surrounding regions, and his experience will ensure our industry continues to provide opportunities and outcomes which benefit the broader community," Mr Gillan said.

Mr Allen said he looked forward to maintaining and building on the productive working relationship he had with Gladstone Regional Council and industry.

"My reappointment enables me to continue to advocate for the development industry in Gladstone to ensure we are able to deliver affordable housing options, create employment opportunities and make a positive difference to the lives of local residents," Mr Allen said.

The UDIA is Australia's peak representative body for the property development industry.
