Pet hate - lazy shoppers who abandon trolleys in car parks

THIS has been bugging me for ages, but today it got right up my nose.

I took a trip to Bunnings and hauled into what I thought was a clear car park. I had to negotiate my way around the end of one of Gladstone's four million white 4WD utes and got halfway into the car park before I found it.

A damned shopping trolley was stuck right in the middle of the park. I had to hop out of the car, shift the trolley and then I used it to do my shopping.

I had to make a second trip to Bunnings because, of course, I bought the wrong sized fluoro light bulb, so back I went, and exactly the same thing happened.

There were two clear parks, and I thought to myself, "I'm in luck". Famous last words.

Slapped right in the centre of one of the parks was a dirty great trolley - the sort that you use to carry extra heavy items to the ute - and in the park that I was aiming for was yet another normal size trolley. Stymied again!

It's just damned laziness. No wonder there are so many overweight people in our world. We walk the shortest distance possible, always, and we never walk further than we need.

This time I was heading for just one small light bulb so I didn't need the trolley, but I dutifully pushed it ahead of me into the store and parked it where the last lazy bugger should have parked it.

It's just damned laziness. No wonder there are so many overweight people in our world. We walk the shortest distance possible, always, and we never walk further than we need.

I know I'm not very big on the fitness thing, but at least I always take my shopping trolley back - no matter how far away from the shop the car is.

Why? Because I get so peed off with bone lazy people who just can't be bothered.

You know, you just feel like knocking someone's block off, but of course when you find the trolley the lazy bugger's scarpered, with not a care in the world for anyone.

It's not just at Bunnings. I've experienced the same thing at our supermarkets, and I still can't understand the reasoning.

So lazy folk - and every single one of you who leaves your trolley in the middle of the car park is downright lazy - get off your butts.

The car's not going to run away. You can be assured it'll still be there when you get back - and the 30-second walk back certainly won't do you any harm.
