Body found near TAFE identified as missing man

A BODY found in bushland near the Wide Bay Institute of TAFE at Urraween has been identified.

The body of Andrew Mason was found on January 23.

The 53-year-old Cooloola Cove man was last seen leaving Hervey Bay Hospital on January 18.

In a missing person release, police said Mr Mason might have become disoriented in an attempt to make his way home.
