Police confirm identity of male body in Dalby's Myall Creek

UPDATE

POLICE have confirmed the body found in Dalby's Myall Creek this morning is that of missing man Doug McDermott.

The 26-year-old had been missing since Saturday night with family and friends taking to social media in an attempt to locate him.

The plea resulted in a huge response and the community rallied to locate the man.

His death is being treated as non-suspicious but an autopsy will be performed.

Anyone with information about Mr McDermott's movements between 8pm Saturday and Monday morning should contact Dalby Police on 4669 9222.

Next of kin have been notified by Police.

POLICE are investigating the discovery of a body in Myall Creek in Dalby earlier today.

The body of a male, believed to be in his 20s, was found by a passer-by just before 9am south of Drayton Street.
