#Up the Blues. It was a record win for NSW on Twitter too

#UP The Blues! It was an historic night for New Wales fans in the Twitterverse.

After all, it was the first time fans were able to tweet about a game one win in Brisbane since Twitter was created.

And according to data from Mass Relevance, it was  a record breaking affair.

There were more than 100,000 tweets using the hashtag #Origin.

More than 2300 tweets were sent in the minute after the final siren.

Second half tweet per minute peaks included:

  • Queensland on the attack at 9.54pm.
  • Boyd scores for QLD at 9:41pm

Origin trended in three countries - Australia, New Zealand and United Kingdom

#UpTheBlues won the hashtag battle against #QLDER 57%-43%
