Blaike takes home state golfing title

CALLIOPE golfer Blaike Perkins has won the 12 and under boys state champion at the Queensland School Championships in Cairns.

As a result he has been selected in the Queensland team to represent the state at the national championships in Newcastle in November.

Other members of the Capricornia team should be proud of their efforts and achievements throughout the tournament.

They include Jordan Scullie, Brock Olive and Declan Corke from Gladstone, being the youngest competitor at the tournament and playing exceptional golf.

Cameron Lord (BITS) and Jayden Bayliss (Gladstone) also competed in the 19 and under team at the titles.
