BITS, Yaralla and Brothers all in deciders
CRICKET: In what will be a Friday night feast of grand finals, there's another form of a 'bat on ball' sport.
BITS Oval will host its first-ever under lights decider between under-17 reigning premiers Yaralla and hosts BITS.
The game starts at 5pm and BITS will attempt to claim its first U17 premiership in six seasons.
Gladstone Cricket Incorporated junior co-ordinator Jack Ramsden said it would be a great match.
"BITS have got some good young kids while Yaralla are the defending champions,” he said.
Yaralla will also be represented in the U14 grand final.
The combined Yaralla and Gladstone Brothers team take on BITS Stars on Saturday at 8am at Clinton Oval number one ground.
"Brothers/Yaralla defeated the BITS Sixers, who were top all season, last week to make the decider, but I think the Stars should win that one,” Ramsden said.
Clinton Oval's number two ground will host the battle of U12 BITS teams Strikers and Bushrangers on Saturday at 8.30am.
BITS spokesperson Nev Judd said it's a big weekend for the club.
"It's been a dominant season for the Boyne Tannum Club which also ran away with the GCI Junior Club Championship for the fourth season in a row and made up nearly half the teams in the GCI junior competition,” he said.
