BITS celebrates hard fought win against Brothers

THE A-grade BITS team stepped up to the plate on Saturday defeating Brothers by five wickets.

It was a hard -fought win, according to BITS captain Terry Sawyer.

"They put up a good fight," he said.

BITS took out the game at Jacaranda Drive with 5/151 while Brothers went down 6/148.

"It was a really good team performance," Sawyer said.

"It was good. I'm pretty happy. Everyone stood up and scored a few runs."

Now the pressure is on for the BITS to remain at the top.

Sawyer said they needed to defeat the Glen in next week's match to stay in the top two.

Glen vs Yaralla

The Glen won by 81 runs. Yaralla was bowled out for 84.

The Glen:

Batsmen: Liam Kirk made 44 runs. Michael Heymer made 56 runs.

Bowlers: Robert Woof took 3/22. Luke Marsh took 2/34.

Michael Heymer took 2/0.
