BITS break through
BITS are finally the reserves cricket premiers after a thumping 141-run win against The Glen yesterday.
Tom Booby's swinging medium pacers were too much for The Glen batsmen to handle as they were dismissed for just 89.
BITS amassed 8-230 with Paul Rose making 46, Jordyn Wilson with 43 and Justin Singh (38 runs) doing the damage as the home side and minor premiers took full advantage of batting first.
Veteran BITS player Nev Judd said it has been a long time coming after four grand final heartbreaks in the past eight seasons.
The BITS side was never to be denied yesterday afternoon as it was never threatened.
"It's also the first-ever grand final win for me after 30 years of playing cricket...I'm absolutely stoked," Judd said.
