Billy's Olympic dream over

GLADSTONE'S Olympian has been knocked out of the competition in the first round.

Crushed by Cuban Yosbany Veitia Soto, Billy Ward was never ahead in the match going down 26-4.

Ward said he gave it his all.

"It was a really tough bout. I was confident heading in, but there are no excuses. He had a really good eye and any time I made the slightest mistake he was on to me."
