Bikini babes, promos and beats to attract crowd in Tannum

THE Tannum Sands Hotel Motel will be teeming with people tonight for the finals of Procon Leisure's Maxim Australian Swimsuit Model Competition, hosted by Aurora Model Management, if the past few weeks are any indication.

The establishment has hosted two heats for the competition in the last fortnight to a packed audience.

Manager David Akeroyd believes they have the perfect venue for a swimwear model competition.

"It's a very classy and professional swimsuit model competition and it's something fun and refreshing for the local region to come along to and have a fun night out," he said.

To make the most of the evening Mr Akeroyd suggests people get in early for dinner before the show starts and stick around afterwards to watch band The Mangs.

"There'll be great promos and terrific prizes on the night," he said.

Mr Akeroyd said the hotel has received great community support for the competition and have plans for other events this year.

"We're going to have bands on Sunday afternoons from here on in. They're all family friendly," he said.

"We will have some big events in the future."
