Biker hurt in crash

A MOTORCYCLIST, 67, crashed in the CBD yesterday when he lost control of his motorbike.

His injuries were unknown last night. The crash was on the roundabout at the intersection of Goondoon and Bramston Sts.

It happened a few hundred metres from the site of an horrific crash on the Dawson Hwy on Saturday night.

Whereas Saturday's crash appeared to involve speeding, police said yesterday's incident didn't appear the result of careless riding.

The rider was entering the roundabout when he lost control and came off.

Police, firefighters and ambulance officers attended and the man was taken to Gladstone Hospital.
