Jumbo Australian flag pinched from Maryborough pub

A JUMBO-sized Australian flag has been stolen from a Maryborough pub.

Marion Callow, manager of the Lamington Hotel, said the flag was taken within 24 hours of it being put up.

"It's very un-Australian to steal a flag," she said.

"We're putting another one up and we'll be taking it down every night."

Maryborough man Nick Grieves was having lunch at the pub and gave a thumbs down to the people who stole the flag.

"It's ridiculous," he said.

Anyone with information can phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
