"We have a rural crew and a couple urban crews down there because we initially thought it was heading towards a shed, but it is under control now."

The bushfire was contained and no buildings were in any danger of being damaged.

The fire, which started at 4pm on Saturday, disrupted traffic for half an hour on Saturday afternoon on the Bruce Hwy.

Queensland Fire and Rescue Services will continue to monitor the fire over the next couple of days.
