'Beautiful soul': Residents speak out about "Mr Happy"
JIM Cole has an infectious smile and a friendly wave that makes almost all of Boyne Tannum residents proud.
The 87-year-old Boyne Island resident has become popular for his friendly charm and for waving to people while he's on his daily walk.
We shared his story on Facebook and were inundated with comments from residents who enjoy seeing Mr Cole.

Gypsy Leanne: I just love him. I'm doing Wheatbags out of a shop at the Boyne Plaza and he always pops in and says hello. Always smiling. He has an elderly friend who has not been well of late who he has helped, such a beautiful soul, wish there was more like him.

Charmaine Mann: Many years ago Mr Cole lived up the road from us and always walked his dogs and spoke to firstly our two children and eventually 6 our 2 eldest said his dogs looked like teddy bears and to this day he is still referred to by our family as the teddybear man lol
