Beach Arts Music won't be back this year

THE popular Beach Arts Music event won't be rescheduled this month after being cancelled because of rain on Saturday.

Organisers said they were unable to reschedule the event for this weekend because there were thunderstorms predicted then as well.

Councillor Maxine Brushe said the unpredictability of the weather at this time of year was one of the main reasons BAM was not held in January and February.

"Also our hard working small band of volunteers need to be able to have a break," she commented on BAM's Facebook page.

"We thank everyone for their support of BAM over the last four years.

"We will be back bigger and better in March 2015 and look forward to seeing you all then."

The first BAM for 2015 will be held on March 7.
