Video: Barney Point residents choose not to evacuate
MOST Barney Point residents seem set to stick out the bad weather despite police doorknocking and advising them to evacuate this morning.
Long term residents are not worried about the storm being too bad, it seems, with a number saying they are more concerned about the way the water from tides and rain will drain.
There are some who have decided to make the decision early and leave the area for somewhere higher and safer.
Many are still set to leave the decision until this afternoon, or not at all.
