BAM's Saturday attracting crowds
THE Beach Arts Music (BAM) gig at Tannum Sands is growing every month with hundreds of people attending on the weekend.
It may have been raining in sporadic spaces in Gladstone on Saturday, but it was blue skies and sunshine at Tannum Sands with Gladstone mum Talia Holsworthy saying it’s a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
“I’ve brought the kids down for the last couple of BAMs and they have really enjoyed themselves,” she said.
“There are so many kids there that they find entertainment for themselves, allowing me to relax and listen to the local bands.”
Beach Arts Music is a free community event held on the first Saturday of the month from 4pm till 8pm at the Tannum Sands Millennium Esplanade. Featuring food stalls, live entertainment, arts and creation stalls, it’s a great place to relax with the family on a Sunday afternoon and early evening.
“My youngest one got into the face painting a couple of months ago at BAM and now it’s hard not to go as she knows when it’s on,” Ms Holsworthy said.
The BAM organisers are on the lookout for more artists, performers and stall holders.
