Bakery serves up another ooey, gooey viral sensation

A SUNSHINE Coast bakery already home to two viral sensations may have just whipped up its third.

Kenilworth Bakery had tastebuds tingling last year when it unveiled a mammoth 1kg doughnut challenge and the coffee in a doughnut taste sensation.

The team is at it again, serving up a gooey concoction few could resist - the peanut butter and Nutella-packed doughnut.

This latest dessert masterpiece was an accidental creation that came to store manager Emily Uebergang in a dream.

"She loves peanut butter and was raving about it for months," Kenilworth Bakery owner Jenna Sanders laughed.

"We had a quiet day on Monday or Tuesday and she played around with it and it has been very well received, not quite gone viral yet though.

"It has been hectic for us lately but, social media has brought them out.

"We have had people from Hervey Bay and Townsville, frying doughnuts 14 hours straight."

If that tiny treat isn't enough, wait until you see what the bakery has in store for the Australia Day weekend.

"We will do a Tim Tam inside a doughnut," Ms Sanders said.

"They'll be rolled inside the dough and proofed up in the fridge. Then we'll fry them on demand to get them hot 10 minutes later."
