Bad weather disrupts flights

POOR weather in Queensland is currently causing disruptions to Virgin Australia's flight schedule. 

The company stated the adverse conditions have resulted in delays and some flight cancellations, with flow on effects across the network.

A Virgin spokesperson confirmed two flights to Gladstone were cancelled this morning. 

These were flights DJ1709 and DJ 1711. 

Both were travelling from Brisbane to Gladstone. 

The spokesperson advised anyone travelling today to check the Virgin Australia website at virginaustralia.com.au or to call 13 6789.

A QANTAS spokesperson acknowledged that while some flights were disrupted throughout the state, at this time QANTAS flights to and from Gladstone was not affected.
