PHOTOS: Baby turtles hatch from nest at Lilleys Beach

A TURTLE nest at Lilleys beach hatched last night.

Conservation Volunteers who closely monitor the nest saw flipper marks from the nest to the water.

Project coordinator Jodi Jones said they were very excited to see the nest had hatched.

"CVA continues to closely monitor other nesting sites along Lilleys and Main Beach in Boyne Tannum and we are looking forward to seeing the flipper patter of many more hatchlings this season," she said.

The first nest at Tannum Sands main beach has not hatched yet, and was due to hatch on January 17.
