Baby airlifted from Mary Valley with hot water burns

AN INFANT has been airlifted to Brisbane after suffering hot water burns in an accident at Bollier in the Mary Valley, a spokesman for the RACQ CareFlight helicopter rescue service said this morning.

The baby boy was taken to Lady Cilento Children's Hospital from a near-Imbil property after an emergency call just before 7pm.

The child suffered burns to the body, the spokesman said.

A CareFlight clinical team worked with Queensland Ambulance Service officers to treat the boy before flying him and his mother to Brisbane, the spokesman said.
