While Gladstone is set for a week of just above-average Spring temperatures, Brisbane and areas in western Queensland will sizzle.
Toowoomba is set for a top of 36 today, with Goondiwindi expecting 40, St George and Roma 41 and Dalby 38.
In Gladstone, we're heading for 30 degrees, with the chance of a thunderstorm in the south-west in the afternoon and evening.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be slight warmer with 31, before the temperature cools slightly to 28 for Thursday through to Saturday.
The long-term average for October in Gladstone is 27.5 degrees.
Things will also settle in Brisbane for the rest of the week, with 32 degrees predicted for Tuesday, and 29 for Wednesday and Thursday.
