Argument turns into alleged hit and run in Tallai

A MAN has allegedly run another man over after an argument in Tallai overnight.

Police will allege the two men were having an argument outside an Alawara Drive address when one man got in his car to leave. 

The second man then allegedly stood in front of the car to stop him, at which point the car is said to have sped up and hit the man.

A 32-year-old Upper Coomera man was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver, a 39-year-old Nerang man, fled the scene however he was located this morning and taken into custody around 8am.

He assisting police with their enquiries.

The pair are known to each other.
