'WHERE are they?' This was the expression of disap- pointed Lorna McGrath after she had organised a youth night for ev- ery Friday and Saturday night and not one youth had turned up.
Ms McGrath said she was a little disappointed, after a survey was con- ducted she had heard youths wanted a hangout spot, and she had provided this and not one had turned up.
'After hanging up posters, advertising, still no one turned up and I am very frustrated, because I don't know why,' she said.
'At the youth hangout night we have provided them with air hockey tables, table soccer, pool, Playsta- tions and CD player which they are quite welcome to play their music.'
Lorna said she was urging youths to come along, and hang out with their mates.
'It is all new equipment, you can bring your friends along and come and hang out,' she said.
'Everything was free including the entry and refreshments and nib- bles are available to buy at very cheap prices.'
She said she would love youths to tell her what she is doing wrong, so she could make it more enjoyable for them.
Youth nights are on Friday and Saturday nights from 6.30pm to 9.30pm at the Boyne Tannum Com- munity Centre, and are fully su- pervised.
