Woman hurt in vehicle accident

A YOUNG Gladstone woman was airlifted to hospital after an accident near Mount Larcom.

Gladstone police said the twenty-four-year-old driver suf- fered serious neck and pelvic in- juries when her car rolled off the road about 4.50pm.

The woman was trapped in the car and Gladstone Fire and Rescue was forced to cut her out of the Honda Civic as the doors were jammed, according to Ser- geant Owen Lawton.

The RACQ Capricorn Rescue Helicopter airlifted the woman from the accident site about five kilometres from Mt Larcom to- wards Gladstone on Port Curtis Way.

She was treated at Rock- hampton hospital last night and Sgt Lawton said it was believed her injuries were not life threat- ening.
