THE surf's up at Tannum Sands High School after the school produced a clean sweep of victories in the Interschool Surfing Challenge at Agnes Water recently.
Tannum students won all four divisions contested at the popular venue, tasting victory in the two-person open boys, open girls and junior boys divisions before topping off a great day with victory in the three-person all-tag team category.
There was little doubt Katie Craig was the day's standout performer, scoring the highest individual wave score (9.5) and highest individual two-wave heat score (17.8) in the Open Girls semi-final.
It was no surprise that performance helped Craig and her teammate Kelly Akari to the Open Girls title, which they won on countback from fellow Tannum students Morgan Bealing and Tracy O'Keefe.
Bryce Onions and Daniel Brown tasted victory in the Open Boys competition and like the girls team edged out school-mates Karl Bealing and Nick Bull.
The junior boys team of Ryan Diflo and Jared Mercer also emerged victorious from their competition, while the tag team of siblings Karl and Morgan Bealing along with Jared Mercer rounded out a superb Tannum performance with a title win.
As a result of their success, it was little surprise the school has been judged as the Premier Surfing High School in Capricornia.
