GLADSTONE State High School Year 12s will tonight close the final chapter on their schooling life, and even they admit they're scared and nervous about the future.
"I'm excited, but really ner-vous ? it's scary after seeing all the other schools have their prom and everyone standing on the street watching them,'' senior student Mandy Searston said.
Scott Fleming said life after school would be very different.
"It's 12 years of your life, and now we'll be entering a new stage of our lives and this will probably be the last time we'll see all our friends together at the one event,'' Scott said.
He said once the graduation ceremony and prom evening were over, the senior students would have a week of celebrations at Schoolies, before prepar-ing themselves for Overall Position (OP) results and university acceptances.
Year 12 student Liam Kirk said the culmination of all the hard work the students had put in over the years would be celebrated at the Prom, where students were looking forward to letting their hair down.
