Saints ?ready? for Brothers onslaught

'OUR backs are to the wall and we are going to come out ready to play.'

That was the message from BITS Saints A grade coach Rod Spice as his team prepared to take on Brothers in the Trend Interiors/Carpet Court AFL Capricornia preliminary final today.

Spice had little hesitation in declaring BITS as underdogs for the cut-throat knockout clash at Victoria Park.

'We definitely go into this one as the underdogs,' Spice said.

'Brothers are the form team of the competition and we have to go up to their ground to make the grand final.'

In selection news, onballer Brad Bywater comes into the side to replace youngster Justin Mountjoy.

Spice believes the inclusion of Bywater will bring a lot to the team, especially with Brothers' genuine hardness at the ball.

'Brothers play a hard at it style, so having Brad in the team gives us another solid body,' he said.

'We need to match it with them in that area if we want to win and go through to the grand final.'

Spice has also assigned jobs to stop Brothers' key forwards Tim Grose and Clinton Ennis who are the dangermen.

'I could probably tell you who is going to play on them, but then I would have to kill you,' he said.

First bounce is at 2.30pm.
