PUT on your cowboy boots and get ready for the traditional Mt Larcom show which begins today.

With plenty of excitement planned for the whole family to enjoy, Mt Larcom Show Society secretary Jenny Grother said the show would feature all of the old favourites which the whole family would enjoy.

"We will have the traditional events such as the sheep shear-ing, commercial cattle and stud cattle, wood chopping, dressage, historical displays, show jumping, poultry shows and chainsaw competitions,'' she said.

She said the show would also feature sideshow alleys and rides for the kids.

Mrs Grother said the show had a couple of new events on offer this year.

'We have a mouse circus, and Cement Australia bus tours,' she said.

'We will also have some beautiful animals on sale, with some of them you simply can not walk past without wanting to take them home.'

One of the biggest events the Mt Larcom Show is known for will be here again.

Mrs Grother said the regional ute muster would get under way tomorrow night, with utes travelling from all over Australia to be part of it.
