Prom boys in demand

DESPITE walking two ladies up the red carpet, preparing for a prom was "pretty breezy'' for Matt Miles.

The Chanel College student was escorting his girlfriend Symone Jenkinson to their Year 12 graduation dinner this year and had to admit it was "a bit of an ego boost''.

His prom partner Symone said Matt was running between the red carpet and partners because there weren't enough boys in Year 12 and partners were organised about two years ago.

"You had to get the good boys first,'' Symone said.

Symone said although the highlight would be walking the red carpet all dressed up, the night was also an important event. "It's what you wait for,'' Symone said.

"It's the best part of finishing school.''

She was worried their entrance may not be dramatic because work on the central business district redevelopment meant they would have to make their entrance through the back door.
