Port Open Day?s fabulous prizes

TOMORROW'S Central Queensland Ports Authority (CQPA) open day has plenty on offer for Gladstone residents.

Prizes up for grabs include a family holiday for four to Kingfisher Bay Resort Fraser Island, a night at Rydges Capricorn Resort Yeppoon and a Port Adventure Pack including a helicopter ride; a ride on board a tugboat; and a trip on board an ocean going vessel.

CQPA community relations officer Kim Norton said the concept behind Port Open Day was to provide a family-oriented public event that was free to the Central Queensland community.

'Port Open Day is not only our chance to showcase port operations but also to thank the local and regional communities for their support in helping to make Gladstone one of the nations premier port centres,' she said.

Additionally, displays from some of Gladstone's major industries will be on show, giving open day visitors the opportunity to learn more about Gladstone's port associated industries and businesses in the one location.

The event will be held between 9am and 3pm at the Gladstone Marina.
