Murder suspect appears in court

A 43-year-old man charged with the murder of a man at Rules Beach on Sunday has been remanded in custody.

Police said Bradley Ian Evans, 28, died after an alleged fight at Flat Rock picnic area near Rules Beach, south of Agnes Water, about 2am Sunday.

Peter James Kempson, from Gin Gin, made no plea during a brief appearance before Bundaberg Magistrates Court yesterday. He made no bail application and was remanded in custody with an order to appear in court again on February 6. One of the other males suffered serious cuts to the back of his head during the alleged incident.
