MOVIEGOERS are flocking to the new blockbuster hit, Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe.

This all-time classic novel has been adapted into a hit movie with runaway success.

Making the most of air-conditioned comfort and this great movie were sisters Linda and Rachael Nicol and friend Nicole Minns.

When asked what they thought about the movie, all three loved it and couldn't wait for it to come out on DVD.

'The graphics were good and I could watch it again,' Linda said.

Younger sister Rachael enjoyed all features of the movie.

'The realism was good and the creatures looked great,' Rachael said.

This adaptation is number two of seven C.S. Lewis books and appears to keep true to the book.

The book starts out with a group of children in England in World War II who pass through a magical portal into another world ruled by an evil White Witch.

Nicole Minns said: 'I have read the books and it is pretty on the mark with the adaptation.'

Owner/manager of Gladstone Cinemas Ann-Maree Struik said the movie was very popular and tickets were selling quickly.

'The tickets are selling fast and people are encouraged to get down early not to miss out,' Ms Struik said.

The movie has a PG rating so mums and dads can bring their children along to watch this spellbinding movie.

'It has an appeal to a large range of audience and the special effects are fantastic,' Ms Struik also said.

'It is a family movie for all to enjoy.'
